It has the best pictures, which are THE MOST USEFUL feature of a disneyland guidebooks. Some books just have "ratings" and the thing about Disneyland is every person (particularly of different ages) has different tastes, so the ratings in a guidebook may be very different than the ratings you actually have. But looking at a picture really brings home what the ride is likely to be to you. It also has a number of great tips and is an attractive book. This should be your first guidebook acquisition, and most likely you will want it with you in the park (unless you choose to go in without a backpack)."

- I used Birnbaum's guide to Walt Disney World several years ago when planning my first major (10 day) trip to the Florida parks. It was an excellent reference and helped point me in the right direction for planning activities/meals, etc.
With my first trip to Disneyland just under 2 months away I came back to Birnbaum and have not been disappointed! The guide has been very helpful in giving me a good overview of the California parks and I feel confident it has assisted me in making this upcoming trip all the better! - Not what I wanted or needed. Got better info from other Disney travel guide purchased thru AMAZON. $12 book, returned NEW book via UPS and I get a $0.52 return? Not what I expect from

- Waste at $10. Cheaply printed on “auto trader†type magazine paper and book. Hardly any pictures or real feedback of actual rides. I bought it for that purpose alone; would NEVER have bought this in the store. Literally nothing here you can’t find on Disney.com or 2-3 hours web—and I dismissed this review made by others but it’s so true. You will get better information by doing your research and organizing your own notes. Or maybe buying a diferrrnt book.

- I have bought several of these over the years for WDW and like this author the best and the one for WDL was just as good. I feel like I am there just by reading the descriptions.
